What is Summer Beer Fest?

Summer Beer Fest is the best of summer in one place. In its third year of operation, the event celebrates three pillars: craft beer, food and music. This summer will also feature a market with local products, a beer appreciation school, a games zone and a nighttime concert.

When and where does the event take place?

This year, the event will go down on June 24th on the waterfront at Lamoureux Park in downtown Cornwall. (100 Water Street East, Cornwall, ON, K6H 6G4)

What are the event hours?

The Summer Beer Fest ground will be open from 11:00AM to 11:00PM.  

Who goes to SBF?

Everyone who is anyone comes out for the Seaway Valley’s biggest backyard bash! Seriously though, people who enjoy delicious craft beer, great food, awesome music and good times come to SBF.

Is the event open to all ages?

No. This is a 19+ only event. You must provide government issued photo ID to gain admission to the grounds. No children or pets will be permitted on the grounds. Service animals are of course welcome.

Is alcohol consumption restricted to one area on the grounds? Like a “beer tent”?

No. The entire Summer Beer Fest grounds is licensed. Feel free to roam the site with your beverage in hand.

Is there a map of the festival grounds?

What does my ticket include?

Your tickets gives you access to: the grounds, the market, the games, the tents and all musical entertainment throughout the day, including the night concert. Beer, food and market items will cost you extra.

Do I have to buy a ticket for Summer Beer Fest and another to get into the shows?

No! Admission tickets give you access to the entire site, including the music so bring your dancing shoes.

Can I buy tickets on site, on the day of the event?

Capacity for the event is limited but if there is room for more people, tickets will be available at the entrance for $30 (regular price).

I bought my ticket in advance but can’t make it anymore. Can I get a refund? 

Unfortunately, tickets are not refundable.

What time do Summer Beer Fest tickets sales close?

One hour before the festival’s closure, so, at 10:00PM.

What breweries will be on site?

How much is a 4-ounce beer sample?

On average, samples are $3.

What kind of glass will you have this year?

In order to be environmentally responsible, this year you will receive a 10oz Ecocup reusable plastic cup. A limited amount of etched souvenir glasses will also be available for purchase.

Can I bring my own glass?

Unfortunately, no. As per our regulations, only Ecocup plastic cups are allowed on site.

I’m not a beer fan. Is there anything else to drink?

Yes. The County Cider Company will be on site, and there will be a wine and spirits bar too.


What food vendors will be there?

Delicious food is a huge part of what Summer Beer Fest is all about! Eight of our favourite local restaurateurs will be serving up their fresh fare. See who’s coming along with specific food items each vendor will be serving here: Foodies Corners.

Do Deluxe Ticket holders get different food?

Yes, Deluxe Ticket holders will be offered with an exclusive spread by local chefs Christian Barque (former owner of Bar Q) and Dave Petrynka (owner of Eight Zero Zero Resto Lounge).


What time does the music come on?

It starts at 11:00am and goes until closing time at 11:00pm.

Where will the bands be playing in the park?

All music acts will perform at The Bandshell.

What is the lineup?

Will I be able to purchase goods?

Yes! New this year: The East Side Market, featuring local goods from 8 vendors. See them here: East End Market.

Will there be any SBF merch sold at the event?

For the first time ever, we’ll be selling some great merch. We’ll have a limited amount of ball caps, t-shirts, sunglasses and glassware.

Can I sell my product/service outside the gates or inside the venu?

The short answer is NO. Please respect our official Summer Beer Fest vendors who worked hard to be at this event. If we find out you’re selling your stuff without authorization, we’ll ask you to leave.  Consider applying to become a vendor at next year’s event!


What are the RFID bracelets?

The event is cashless so you will use your RFID bracelet to pay for stuff—beer, food, market items. You’ll be able to add credits to your bracelet at the top-up station using your credit or debit card. Think of it as a prepaid card!

How do the RFID bracelets work?

Your bracelet is your admission ticket and your digital wallet. To make a purchase, simply tap your wristband at the vendor’s RFID point of sales device. To load up your wristbands with Summer Beer Fest credits, simply visit one of our Top-Up stations.

Can I pay for stuff with my credit and debit card?

No, not directly. Event vendors will only be able to accept payment through your RFID bracelet. But you will be able to top-up your wristband with credit and debit cards.

Will there be an ATM machine on site?

No, there will be no ATM machines on site

Anything else I need to know about the wristbands?

You have to keep your wristband on at all times. Don’t mess with them! They’ll be considered void if tampered with or removed. And finally, if you leave the grounds, you will only be allowed re-entry if you have your wristband.

Can I get a refund on the credits at the conclusion of the event?

Unfortunately, credits are non-refundable. Be wise and use them before the day ends!

Can I split a purchase with a friend?

No, our system is not set up that way. But you can buy the first round, and your friend can buy the next.

Can I transfer my credits to another bracelet?

Yes. Just visit the top-up station and an attendant will assist you. Keep in mind both bracelets need to be present to complete the transfer.


Controlled substances and outside alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited on site.

ZERO TOLERANCE: Use of profanity, verbal threats, or any act of violence will not be tolerated on premise. Any infraction will result of removal of the premises.

Guests noticeably intoxicated or under the influence of a controlled substance will be denied entry.

Will bags be searched?

We reserve the right to search ALL bags and refuse any bags (backpacks included) that we deem could pose a potential safety risk.

Is there a place for me to store my belongings during the event?

No. You bring it, you carry it.

If I need to reach out to security personnel, how will I find them?

You can find security at the main gate, around the grounds, and at the designated security tent. (see map). Security personnel will be clothed in easily identifiable clothing.

Is there First Aid on site?

Yes. We have paramedic teams to take care of you if the need arises.


What happens if it rains?

Humans don’t melt! The event runs, rain or shine. Tents will be setup throughout the grounds for coverage from sun or rain.  Space under the tents is on a first come first serve basis. If it rains, bring your boots, umbrellas and positive thinking!


How can I get to SBF?

There are many options. ride Cornwall Transit right to the park, take a taxi, walk or ride your bike. If you choose to drive to the event, make sure you have a designated driver or plan on leaving your vehicle and picking it up the next day.

Where can I leave my bike if I decide to ride to SBF?

Good question! The Active Transportation Group is offering a free bike valet service—like a coat check for your bike. They’ll keep your ride safe for you while you enjoy your day. (Note: Do NOT ride your bike home if you’re impaired.)

What’s the deal with parking?

There is very limited parking available at the Civic Complex lot but we encourage everyone to use public transportation or other means to get to the event.

I’m from out of town. Where can I stay the night?

We’ve partnered with some of the city’s best accommodations! We recommend you stay at the Best Western, Ramada Inn or Comfort Inn. Read more about your options here: accommodations.  

Can I camp on the festival grounds?

Simply put, no. Lamoureux Park is not set up for overnight camping.


What about water?

Our partners, Cristill Rock, are generously providing water stations where you can fill up and hydrate all day. It’s free!

Can I bring my own chair?

Sorry! You can’t bring your own chairs. There will be limited seating around the site but it’s first come, first seated.

Is the festival accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Yes. Note that the grassy area may be uneven in some areas.

What should I wear?

Check the weather forecast before you arrive. It’s always a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater in case it gets cool, especially for the nighttime hours. If it rains, bring your rain jacket and rain boots!

I have a medical condition that requires me to bring medication. How does that work?

All medication needs to be clearly labelled. You will need to present any prescriptions drugs to security, who will turn them over to our on-site medics who will evaluate them. Make sure you only bring enough medication to last you one day.

Am I allowed to bring a camera?

Professional equipment with detachable, SLR-type lenses will be refused. Selfie sticks are not permitted on site.

Can I bring e-cigs?

We’re not your mom. But you can only smoke in the designated smoking area.

Will there be any vegetarian/vegan food? What about kosher? Gluten-free? Organic?

Our food vendors will offer a range of foods but we can’t guarantee there will be something for every dietary restriction.

Will there be a charging station for my cell phone or other electronics?

No. Make sure you show up with a full charge!
