Local craft beer community continues to raise awareness and raise money in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund
Cornwall, ON—For the third year, SUMMER BEER FEST is supporting an initiative to help Crafting A Cure during the festivities held on June 24th, 2017 at Lamoureux Park.
“Crafting A Cure is thrilled to be involved with SUMMER BEER FEST again this year,” said Jeff Lalonde, co-founder of Crafting A Cure. “Last year was a great success and we consider ourselves fortunate to continue this partnership.”
Crafting A Cure is a craft beer tasting fundraiser and sports themed auction. Created in 2013 by Jeff and Cherie Lalonde, parents to two teenagers with Type 1 diabetes, Crafting A Cure creates awareness of juvenile diabetes and raises money in support of JDRF. Last year alone Crafting A Cure raised over $25,000.
“I’ve gotten to know Jeff and Cherie personally these past few years. Their dedication and passion for this cause is heartfelt. We’re proud and honoured to be able to support this initiative once again. Last year’s partnership raised $1,250 and we hope to raise even more this year,” said Sebastien “Mani” Manigat, Organizer of SUMMER BEER FEST
For SUMMER BEER FEST, Crafting A Cure will host its own booth and serve samples of beer provided by local breweries. All proceeds collected will go directly towards supporting JDRF.
Donations for Crafting A Cure are always welcome and there are a number of ways to support this initiative. You can become a sponsor of the event or volunteer. For more information, you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, or email them at email@example.com.
