The 6th Edition of Cornwall Restaurant Week Takes Over This Fall

Cornwall’s largest food celebration is back from November 7th to 11th with a few new additions.

Cornwall, ONT, October 2, 2017:  Seaway Food Festival is excited to announce the return of the very successful Cornwall Restaurant Week set to take place November 7th to 11th. This initiative is founded on the core principle of engaging consumers through a common shared experience of amazing local cuisine. Cornwall Restaurant Week is an annual promotion that celebrates our city’s finest eateries at an affordable price. Participating restaurants offer two or three-course prix-fixe menus specifically priced for this week at $28 or $34. Each restaurant will have a unique opportunity to showcase their specialties to new customers.

New this year will be a $10 “lunch box” special at selected local eateries. Furthermore, Seaway Food Festival is proud to announce a new partnership with the Agape Centre. Proceeds from every meal and every lunch box will go directly towards their Holiday drive. (An official announcement will follow in the upcoming weeks)

Sebastien Manigat, Director of the Seaway Food Festival, said: “2017 has been a breakout year for our local food scene. From the massive successes of La Poutine Week and Le Burger Week to the amazing development of the Summer Beer Fest food experience, we’ve seen tremendous growth in the level of engagement between consumers and our restaurants. It’s been exciting to see the renewed enthusiasm of our chefs and in turn the warm reception from customers. It’s without a doubt in my mind that our largest and most successful event (Cornwall Restaurant Week) will build on that momentum and deliver a foodie experience unlike Cornwall has ever seen.”

Your local favorites such as Eight Zero Zero, ESCA Pizza, Table 21 will be back, but the full list of participants will not be released for another few weeks.  As usual, menus for each restaurant will be released the week prior, giving patrons ample time to make their decision and their reservations.

Due to the immense success of Cornwall Restaurant Week, patrons will notice a few changes this year: “It goes without saying that restaurant week has grown tremendously since our first edition in the summer of 2014. Last year alone, Cornwall Restaurant Week sold close to 5,000 meals. This year we are excited to announce the new $10 “lunch box” at selected local eateries. It’s always been our goal to add lunch to the mix and we are so pumped to roll this out. This addition allows us to incorporate more local businesses in our promotion,” concluded Sebastien Manigat.

Previous restaurants who have participated include Casa Paolo, Eight Zero Zero, Sticks Sports Bar & Grill, Maple Room Steakhouse, the Propeller, Bar Q, Moustache Joe’s, Truffles Burger Bar, Table 21, Schnitzels, Sheep’s Head Bistro, ESCA Gourmet Pizza + Bar, Peppermills, and Captain George’s.
