What is Cornwall Restaurant Week?

Cornwall Restaurant Week is your opportunity to try as many great restaurants as your schedule allows for a low fixed price. This is your chance to give your restaurant of choice a try with the security of knowing exactly what you will be spending.

When is Cornwall Restaurant Week?

Cornwall Restaurant Week will take place from Tuesday November 7th to Saturday November 11th, 2017 in Cornwall, Ontario.

How much will it cost to dine out during the restaurant week?

The cost is $24, $28 or $34 for a two or three-course prix-fixe menu or $10 for a “lunch box” special (taxes and gratuity not included). Check the participant’s individual page to view their menu and price. (*Menu will be made available at least one week prior to the start of the festival)

What is a prix fixe menu?

A prix fixe menu is simply a “fixed price” menu of a certain number of items – usually an appetizer, main course, and dessert. During the week, diners can choose a meal created specifically for Cornwall Restaurant Week, at a fixed price.

Why do restaurants participate in Cornwall Restaurant Week? 

A “restaurant week” offers restaurants the opportunity to introduce the community and visitors to what they do best at a price that will encourage dining out. Chefs can showcase their talents all while all at bargain prices for customers.

Furthermore, this year we have partnered with the Agape Centre to raise funds for their Holiday Drive. Proceeds from every meal and lunch box sold during the week will go directly to the drive.

How do I find out which restaurants are participating? 

Simply visit the participants’ page to find out. You will be able to view their hours of operation, their contact information, as well as their special restaurant week menu.

How do I take part? 

No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Diners simply visit their choice from the list of participating restaurants.

What are they serving?

You’ll be served from customized menus at all restaurants. Each menu is different, but we use this template to assure a consistent experience from restaurant to restaurant. Every menu is a depiction of each chef’s culinary talents and the type of food that restaurant specializes in.

Can I make to-go orders?

During the dinner service (after 4 pm), Cornwall Restaurant Week menus are available for dine-in customers only.

Where do I make reservations?

Reservations are made at each individual restaurant. Tables may fill up fast during the week, so making a reservation is an easy way to avoid disappointment and/or possibly long waits. Discover the restaurants you may want dine at by visiting the participant’s page. You will find all the information you need in order to make a reservation. Remember, some restaurants may not take reservations.

What if only some in my party are interested in the special Cornwall Restaurant Week menu?

All of the restaurants will also have their full menu available. Picky eaters need not worry!

Are there any additional costs I should be aware of when dining out during the festival? 

Please keep in mind that beverages, tax, and gratuity are not included in the special pricing. There may be some restaurants that do offer a beverage instead of a desert, for example, so please consult individual menus for specific details. Gratuity, however, is never included and the wait staff works very hard during that week. Please tip generously, it goes a long way!

Who can I contact with comments about a restaurant?

All comments about a restaurant’s menu and service should be directed to that particular restaurant. You can contact mani@bastionhospitality.ca for comments about the promotion of the overall festival.
