What is the Seaway Food Festival's Restaurant Week?
The Restaurant Week is your opportunity to try as many great restaurants as your schedule allows for a low fixed price. The Seaway Food Festival is your chance to give it a try with the security of knowing exactly what you will be spending.
When is the Restaurant Week?
The Seaway Food Festival’s Restaurant Week will take place from Tuesday April 5th to Saturday April 9th, 2016 in Cornwall, Ont. and the surrounding Seaway Valley area.
Why do restaurants participate in the Seaway Food Festival's Restaurant Week?
A “restaurant week” offers restaurants the opportunity to introduce the community and visitors to what they do best at a price that will encourage dining out. Chefs can showcase their talents all while all at bargain prices for customers. Restaurants hope you’ll come back once you taste their delicious dishes!
How do I find out which restaurants are participating?
Simply visit the participants page to find out. You will also be able to view their hours of operation, their contact information, as well as their special Restaurant Week menu.
How do I take part?
No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Diners simply visit their choice from the list of participating restaurants.
What are they serving?
You’ll be served from customized menus at all restaurants. Each menu is different, but we use this template to assure a consistent experience from restaurant to restaurant. Every menu is a depiction of each chefs culinary talents and the type of food that restaurant specializes in.
How much will it cost to dine out during the festival?
A prix fixe menu is simply a “fixed price” menu of a certain number of items – usually an appetizer, main course and dessert. During the Restaurant Week diners can choose a meal created specifically for the festival at a fixed price.
Can I make to-go orders?
No. The Restaurant Week menus are available for dine-in customers only and after 4pm.
Where do I make reservations?
Reservations are made at each individual restaurant. Tables may fill up fast during the festival, so making a reservation is an easy way to avoid disappointment and/or possibly long waits. Discover the restaurants you may want dine at by visiting the participant’s page. You will find all the information you need in order to make a reservation. Remember, some restaurants may not take reservations. If the restaurant has partnered with Open Table, you may be able to make reservations through Open Table as well.
What if only some in my party are interested in the special Seaway Food Festival Restaurant Week menu?
All of the restaurants will also have their full menu available. Picky eaters not to worry!
Are there any additional costs I should be aware of when dining out during the festival?
Please keep in mind that beverages, tax and gratuity are not included in the special pricing. There may be some restaurants that do offer a beverage instead of a desert for example, so please consult individual menus for specific details. Gratuity, however, is never included and the wait staff work very hard during that week. Please tip generously, it goes a long way!
Who can I contact with comments about a restaurant?
All comments about a restaurant’s menu and service should be directed to that particular restaurant. You can contact [email protected] for comments about the promotion of the overall festival.
